Meet Martine

Hello! My name is Martine Lamour. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC). I started this journey over 10 years ago, but for as long as I can remember, I have loved talking to people and helping them make sense of their struggles without judgement. Being able to hold space for others is an honor. To be trusted and to witness another person’s most precious journey in life is an absolute gift, which is why I love what I do.

I have BA in psychology and an MS in mental health counseling from Kean University. Of course, my journey did not stop there. Once I actually got into the field, what I encountered was a real eye-opening experience. I went on to work in a variety of settings. I assisted and serviced at-risk communities in schools as well as in inpatient and outpatient settings, and needless to say, I have been rendered more humble with every individual I have worked with.

I obtained a certificate in Advanced Trauma Studies from Adelphi University. I also became certified as a PCIT therapist and TF-CBT, and went on to train in several other treatment models that provide evidence they work in assisting individuals who have experienced significant traumatic events. I also went on to train in several other treatment models to better address life challenges we encounter in the world. Furthermore, I am credentialed with the Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) certification to provide supervision toward LPCs pursuing their clinical hours.

I have invested a lot of time and hard work in order to improve what I love to do, ensuring I provide the individuals I work with quality services backed by experience, education, and, most importantly, a willingness to help them mend and heal their heart.
