In-Home Therapy Services
ML Counseling is contracted with NJ Children’s System of Care as an approved provider of In Community Counseling (IIC) and Bio Psychosocial Assessment (BPS) to children and adolescents. These services can be accessed by contacting PerformCare at 1-877-652-7624.
In Community Counseling
In Community Counseling (IIC) are intensive counseling services offered at home for children and young adults between the ages of 5-21. This is a short-term intervention that addresses presenting behaviors and results in the youth and caregiver gaining insight and improving function at home and in the community. The purpose of these IIC services is to strengthen, stabilize, and preserve the family unit in the community setting. Youths and families are eligible to receive Intensive In-Community services if they are receiving Care Management and/or MRSS services and as part of the Transitional Planning process from OOH treatment back to the community, through the NJ Children’s System of Care.
BPS Strength and Need Assessment
BioPsychoSocial Assessment (BPS) is an in-depth assessment authorized by PerformCare to evaluate your child’s needs and assign them the most appropriate resources or services. The assessment is completed by a clinical/licensed level therapist in the family’s home or in the community. The evaluator will collect information regarding the family dynamic, presenting challenges, and the impact of those challenges on the day-to-day functioning of the youth and family. The evaluator then takes the information collected and makes treatment recommendations that address the identified needs through both local community resources and services available throughout New Jersey. PerformCare will also link the family to resources based on the information collected by the evaluator.
