Allow me to introduce myself. I can only do this one way, and I want to be as authentic as possible. This has been my dream since I was in high school after I took my first psychology class. I remember envisioning myself sitting in my office with a couch in front of me, a client on said couch telling me all the problems they are going through. Despite things looking a little bit different because of what we're currently encountering, the mission remains the same. The mission is still to help people. I may not be in my office space, but with technology, we can do the work through a computer screen (safety first!).
This has been something that I have wanted to do for a long time, and it never seemed like the right time. But what better time than now, with the issues we are currently living through? Our world as we know it is changing right before our eyes (though some things remain the same) with the same expectation for everyone to keep pushing through as though everything is fine. I want to create a space where people can feel safe in saying, "I am not ok," free from judgment. I choose to do therapy differently. I am here to help challenge you and ask you what steps you’re taking to do something about the challenges you are facing. If you're looking for someone to assist you in facing some of the everyday challenges that you may be experiencing, help you address and work through your anxiety, grief, depression, anger, trauma, communication, difficulties, parenting challenges, family conflict, or relationships, then you've come to the right place. I am willing to support you through it all. All I need is for YOU to show up for yourself.
